Hannah Brown Gordon
Hannah currently lives in New York City and works in book publishing as a literary agent. She became familiar with the Boston Marathon during high school while attending Dana Hall in Wellesley, MA. Hannah will be running the Marathon in memory of her dear friend and classmate, Nina Gordet, whom she lost to suicide in 2003. Hannah has fond memories of spending Marathon Monday with Nina, cheering on runners together near the half way point in Wellesley. This will be Hannah's first experience running the Boston Marathon for Samaritans.

Nathaniel Burbank
Nathaniel is a Samaritans helpline befriender and has been volunteering with the organization for more than two years. Nathaniel will be running his first Boston Marathon this spring on behalf of Samaritans, but he completed his first ever marathon (The Bay State Marathon) last October with a time of 3:55. Nathaniel says that running the Boston Maraton has been a "dream" of his for a long time. He is a resident of Somerville, MA, and works as an Applications Advisor at Harvard Business School.

Molly McDonald
Molly recently moved to Boston from Chicago after accepting a new job with Next Street Financial. Molly was introduced to Samaritans by a colleague and will be running her first Boston Marathon for Samaritans this spring. In her previous job as a social-worker, Molly worked with many patients who struggled with thoughts of suicide. She says that she "understands the importance of the services that Samaritans' provides, and believes that there needs to be more awareness and providers, like Samaritans, across the country". Molly has run five other marathons in her life, including the Green Bay Marathon and Chicago Marathon.

Kim Gagnon Mcniff
Kim is a resident of Franklin, MA and is running this year's Boston Marathon in memory of her sister, Jodi Ann Sims. Kim has been involved with the Samaritans 5K for many years, helping to organize Jodi Ann's Team with her family. Kim ran her first Boston Marathon for Samaritans last year and was featured in Samaritans' 2009 Hope Event video. Kim is very excited to rejoin the Marathon Team this year, and says that "I'm extremely proud to wear my Samaritans' jersey for those 26.2 miles, hoping to bring some attention to suicide awareness and prevention along the way". Kim has three daugthers - Taylor, Avery and Jaidan - and a son, Luke.

Kevin Quinlan
Kevin is a Samaritans helpline volunteer and has been involved with the "Run for Someone Else's Life" 5K as a member of Christian's Team. Kevin is president of Quinlan-Wasserman, a Boston-based flower wholesale company, which has generously sponsored many Samaritans events throughout the years, including Samaritans' Volunteer Appreciation Event, Hope Events and Annual 5K. This will be Kevin's third year competing in the Boston Marathon, and his second time running on behalf of Samaritans. He is a native of Carlisle, MA.

Valerie Lubrano
Valerie became a helpline volunteer at Samaritans in March of 2008, and since then has always wanted to do more to support the work and mission of Samaritans. Valerie is excited to be running her first Boston Marathon for Samaritans this year, although she has already completed two half-marathons in her life. She was the team captain of Val's Team at the 11th Annual Samaritans 5K in October, and rallied many of her friends to join the team and support Samaritans. Thanks to their efforts, Val's Team raised over $1300 for suicide prevention! Val is a resident of Boston, MA.

Katie Perez
Katie will be running her first Boston Marathon for Samaritans in the spring. She is currently a resident of Boston, MA, and worked for Samaritans as a Development Coordinator after graduating college in 2006. By joining this year's Marathon Team, Katie is excited to help Samaritans broaden their outreach in the community. She has dreamt of running Boston for many years and is thrilled to be supporting the work of Samaritans this year while fulfilling her life-long dream!
